Software Engineer

Full Stack Software EngineerApex Systems has an opening for a full stack software engineer position with a national healthcare client based in Nashville, TN. This engineer will be responsible for producing software for commercial products utilizing requirements to design, develop, implement, and lead the development of assigned tasks for the deployment of a new release and facilitate the use and improvement of a software development lifecycle. Candidate should be a self-starter and a quick learner.Location: Remote- Candidate should be comfortable working CST or EST schedule (flexible)Duration: 6+ month contract- expected to extend.Responsibilities:Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data.Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications. Implement system software and customize to client requirements.Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans.Code new programs to client’s specifications and create test data for testing.Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs.Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation.Provide quality assurance reviews.Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing.Minimum Requirements:5+ years experience in a software development role preferably working in the RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) sector.Experience with 3-tier software development in a Windows-based environment using C#,.NET, XML, ASP / ASP.NET,.NET Core, Model View Controller (MVC) design, MSSQL Server (2014 or higher), Advanced T-SQL, Store Procedures, Worked on multi-terabyte database, JSON, and strong testing skills.Experience working in a team development environment using Agile methodology.Understanding Test Driven Development (TDD), Agile methodology, and continuous integration conceptsWorking knowledge of C++ and / or React / ReduxExperience with AWS cloud development, Cloud Framework, Lambdas, EC2, Serverless solutions, and microservices.Experience with Subversion or Git source code management, JIRA tool, React, or Java would be a plus.
