You'll lead a team that builds automation to secure Amazon's Devices & Services business: the products customers bring into their homes, cars, and daily lives: smart home devices, wireless routers, security cameras and other security devices, TVs, tablets, wearables, and autonomous vehicles.
Your team's job is to make security controls automatic. Instead of relying on humans to catch every issue, you'll build systems that enforce the right security outcomes consistently and accurately, at the scale these businesses operate. This is a builder's role with real teeth: the controls your team ships decide what does and doesn't reach customers.
You'll also get to work at the frontier. Your engineers apply applied science techniques and partner closely with security engineers to build agentic AI-based solutions for detection, decision making, and enforcement.
Key job responsibilities:
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective
