These values are our foundation!We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our Mailgun Send team. The Mailgun Send team builds and maintains our customer-facing Mailgun and internal Admin applications, helping customers manage their email sending, configure domains, monitor delivery, and troubleshoot issues while giving internal teams the tools to support them.In this role, you will build modern frontend experiences using React and TypeScript. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to make complex email workflows intuitive, deliver reliable features, and improve the applications our customers and internal teams use every day.Your Impact & ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain frontend applications using React and TypeScriptDevelop reusable and scalable UI componentsBuild data-heavy interfaces, including tables, filtering, reporting, and configuration formsIntegrate with backend APIs, managing asynchronous data, loading states, errors, and validationCollaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver features that meet customer and business needs Improve application performance, usability, accessibility, and reliabilityParticipate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting, including investigating production issues with backend and support teamsContribute to technical discussions and improvements to development practicesRequirements2+ years of software engineering experienceStrong experience with React and TypeScriptExperience building single-page applications and reusable frontend componentsExperience consuming RESTful APIs and managing frontend state, asynchronous data fetching, and cachingStrong understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern frontend development practicesExperience with frontend testing tools such as Cypress, Jest, or PlaywrightFamiliarity with Git, code review, and CI/CD workflowsStrong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skillsWho You AreYou are a frontend engineer with strong experience in React and TypeScriptYou enjoy making complex workflows intuitive for customers and internal teamsYou care about usability, accessibility, performance, and maintainable codeYou collaborate well with product managers, designers, and engineers to turn ideas into working featuresYou ask thoughtful questions, clarify requirements, and work through ambiguity with your teamYou are comfortable integrating APIs and building interfaces with forms, tables, and reportingYou take ownership of your work, from implementation and testing to troubleshooting issues in productionYou communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teammatesExperience working on SaaS products, internal tools, or administrative applications is a plusFamiliarity with data visualization, observability, or monitoring tools is a plusExperience with Go and/or Node.js is a plusThis is a remote opportunity, but candidates must reside near one of our hub locations for occasional collaboration: Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; San Antonio, TX; Denver, COBenefitsSTAY HEALTHY: We offer comprehensive market competitive medical, dental, and vision plans.
