Dynamic Database Administrator for Critical SQL Server Environments

Required Skills

Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration in production environments.

Proficiency in Transact-SQL (T-SQL), backups, recovery, and performance tuning.

Strong understanding of index management, query optimization, and database security principles.

Ability to troubleshoot database performance and availability issues effectively.

Knowledge of replication, monitoring, and alerting solutions.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.

Nice to Have Skills

Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure SQL.

Familiarity with cloud database technologies and DevOps practices.

PowerShell scripting and automation expertise.

Knowledge of source control and deployment processes.

Retail industry experience supporting application development and modernization.

Preferred Education and Experience

3 to 5 years of relevant SQL Server administration experience.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred but not mandatory.

Other Requirements

This position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of three days onsite per week in Springfield, MA.

On-call rotation is weekly among team members, including after-hours support.

Flexibility for remote work when necessary.
