IT Project Manager

Remote Role

Compensation: $52 – $58 per hour

Contract Length: September 2026 – December 2027

Hours: 8 am – 5 pm

Start Date: 9/7/2026

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and oversee technology projects from initiation through completion in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to establish project schedules, manage resources, track deliverables, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure projects remain aligned with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare systems and business processes, including Utilization Management (UM), Service Authorization, Referrals, Revenue Cycle, and Claims. You will be responsible for applying established project management methodologies and SDLC practices, developing technical documentation, and ensuring effective communication across all project phases. This is a contract position with a set term, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on large-scale healthcare IT initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and deliverables

Coordinate project resources and ensure work is appropriately planned and assigned

Manage communication and relationships with project stakeholders

Track project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items

Facilitate project meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders and leadership

Collaborate with technical and business teams throughout the project lifecycle

Support projects involving healthcare systems, applications, and business processes (including Tapestry UM, Service Authorization, Referrals, Revenue Cycle, and Claims)

Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation and status reports

Apply established project management methodologies and SDLC practices to ensure project success

Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (such as Microsoft Project) to organize, track, and communicate project information

Ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with business objectives

WHAT YOU BRING

5+ years of project management experience (healthcare IT preferred)

Experience with healthcare systems and business processes, including Utilization Management (UM), Service Authorization, Referrals, Revenue Cycle, and Claims (Tapestry experience a plus)

Strong schedule, stakeholder, and resource management skills

Experience working within structured project management methodologies and familiarity with SDLC processes

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Microsoft Project is a plus

Experience creating and maintaining technical and project documentation

Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex enterprise environment

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

PMP certification

Experience supporting large-scale healthcare IT initiatives (nice to have)

Experience working within a PMO environment (nice to have)
