Maintenance Technician

Job Purpose:- The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and functionality of machinery and equipment by performing regular maintenance and repair tasks. This role is crucial in minimizing downtime and ensuring that all equipment operates at peak efficiency, contributing to the overall productivity and safety of the facility.Key Responsibilities:- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.- Perform general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC system repairs.- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and parts inventory.- Collaborate with other team members to improve maintenance processes and procedures.- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.- Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment as needed.- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to resolve issues efficiently.Required Education:- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.Required Experience:- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role.- Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing machinery and equipment.- Experience with general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.Required Skills and Abilities:- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation purposes.
