The Project Engineer supports the planning and execution of commercial construction projects, helping drive them from initial budgeting through final completion. This role works closely with the project team to keep jobs on track, on budget, and aligned with client expectations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Build strong working relationships across the project team by keeping communication flowing on project needs, updates, and changes, and following up on open questions or issues as needed.
Keep team members and stakeholders informed of expectations, timelines, and deadlines, while monitoring progress against key milestones and deliverables.
Prepare and distribute regular status updates and supporting documentation; flag problem areas, track outstanding items, and escalate concerns to keep projects moving and clients satisfied.
Serve as a communication link between ownership, client representatives, consultants, customers, and general contractors — routing questions, gathering information, and sharing updates on design changes, scope adjustments, quality issues, or schedule delays.
Maintain positive, collaborative relationships within the project team, helping surface and resolve obstacles as they arise.
Review plans, specifications, and project requirements to support Superintendents and Project Managers with scheduling and day-to-day coordination; help identify risks and communicate concerns about delays, unforeseen costs, or other project impacts.
Track project timelines, budgets, and quality standards by monitoring assigned tasks, maintaining accurate documentation, and reporting updates to the team. xsgimln
