Manufacturing Operator

This role involves setting up and operating machinery used to shape materials for water filters in an industrial production environment. You will monitor machine performance, maintain production speeds and quotas, and ensure safe and consistent operation in a warm, heat-emitting setting. The position follows a structured work-rest schedule to support comfort and safety while working near heated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tend machinery used to shape material for water filters according to established procedures.
• Monitor machine speed, cycle times, and production rates to ensure quotas are consistently met.
• Check water levels and other machine indicators regularly to confirm proper operation.
• Perform routine visual inspections of machinery and products to identify issues or defects early.
• Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively as part of machine operation and basic maintenance tasks.
• Lift and move materials or components weighing up to 50 pounds as needed for production.

Essential Skills

• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment (any amount of experience is acceptable).
• Comfort working in an environment where temperatures can reach up to 98 degrees due to heated machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly during the shift.
• Basic machine operation skills, including setting up and tending production equipment.
• Ability to use power tools and hand tools safely and correctly.
• Ability to perform routine inspections and identify irregularities in machine operation.
• Willingness to follow structured work-rest schedules to support safety in a hot environment.
• Reliability and consistency in following safety procedures and production guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior machine operating experience is a plus.
• Experience in roles that required physical labor is a plus.
• Comfort working in an industrial setting around hot machinery.

Work Environment

This role is based in an industrial manufacturing environment on the 2nd shift, working from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. You will work near hot machines that generate significant heat, and the area is not temperature controlled; temperatures can reach up to 98 degrees while machines are running. To support safety and comfort, a structured schedule of 45 minutes of work followed by a 15-minute break is in place, along with access to electrolytes and a stocked break room.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
