Provides both technical and administrative supervision to the department to ensure the technical, administrative, direct labor and schedule targets of the department are met in accordance with applicable professional standards, design control procedures, company procedures and technical design guides. Coordinates project priorities, staffing schedules, budgets and staff assignments to ensure clients are provided the best design capabilities to meet their needs.What You Will Be Doing:Responsible for daily coordination and supervision of assigned members.Assigns and coordinates project priorities, workload planning, staffing schedules and assignments.Coordinates and monitors direct/indirect labor utilization among department staff members. Ensures that resource loading calendars are completed on a timely basis for the department.Responsible for quality control of work produced by the department. Oversees that staff execute to standards, procedures and policies established by the organization.Provides input to Group Manager on hiring, salaries, promotion, transfer, demotion and termination of department members.Assists with staff development within the department. Recommends to Group Manager opportunities for department members to participate in training and career development activities.Supports the Group Manager in monitoring the financial key performance indicators for the department including utilization and project performance.Work with project managers and senior department members to support business development and marketing activities.Ensures that project assignments for the department are completed on schedule and within budget parameters.When applicable, serves as the Project Manager for key department projects.Performs other functions delegated by the Group Manager.Required Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college10+ years of relevant facility design experiencePE requiredPreferred Qualifications:Experience designing HVAC systems, plumbing systems, central utility plants, and mechanical distribution systemsExperience using Trane Trace, Revit, Pipe-Flo, COMcheck, and/or BLCC softwareExperience performing energy modeling and life cycle cost analysisExperience design industrial and/or federal facilitiesLEED AP BD+C credential and/or GBI Guiding Principles Compliance ProfessionalAEE Certified Energy ManagerAABC Certified Commissioning Authority$139,500 - $185,550 a year (Salary range for MN location) Stanley Consultants is committed to maintaining transparency in our hiring process, including providing information about compensation.
