The Gund Company has an immediate opening

for a full-time Experienced CNC Machine Operator II to join our team!

CNC Operator II - 2nd Shift

The Gund Company - Walnut, CA

Schedule: 1:30 PM-10:00 PM | Monday-Friday | Full-Time

Pay: $25.41+ based on experience + 15% Shift Differential

You'll work on custom parts-not repetitive, assembly-line production

You'll operate multiple CNC machines and expand your skillset

What You'll Do Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, and machining centers)

Load materials, secure parts, and execute work orders based on specifications and blueprints

Ensure parts meet quality standards through inspection and measurement

Complete work order documentation accurately

Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Collaborate with team members and assist with training others

Follow all safety and quality standards while actively contributing ideas for improvement

What You Bring Ability to read blueprints and follow written instructions

Experience operating CNC equipment or similar machining tools

Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy

Basic to intermediate math skills and problem-solving ability

Experience using measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)

Ability to work independently and manage priorities

Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production

Preferred Experience Prior manufacturing or machining experience

Vocational or technical training in machining or fabrication

5 Axis machine set-up and operation with Haas, Doosan.

Requirements

Qualifications and Competencies

• Requires knowledge of machining techniques and methods

• Familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures

• Communicate with supervisor on work order priority

• Open to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of parts

• Basic to intermediate math skills and/or aptitudes

• Ability to use basic measuring instruments

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Must be able to work overtime as needed

Education and Experience

• 2+ years of experience, or equivalent

• A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination

of education and experience is required. Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred

Salary Description

$25.41+ based on experience
