Job Description

Cedar Park Med is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Administrative Support Specialist to support a statewide behavioral health program serving service members, veterans, and their immediate family members. This in-person role is responsible for coordinating appointments, connecting individuals with appropriate resources, supporting community outreach, and providing day-to-day administrative assistance to the behavioral health team.

Schedule

Full-time, in-person position

Core hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Schedule flexibility may be required for scheduled events and occasional weekend activities

Travel within Idaho may be required

Initial 12-month assignment with the possibility of extension

Responsibilities

Coordinate behavioral health services and schedule appointments for the clinical team

Respond to requests for assistance and help connect individuals with appropriate services

Identify psychological, medical, financial, and community-based resources throughout Idaho

Maintain current knowledge of local, state, and federal support programs

Provide accurate referrals based on each individual’s needs and location

Follow up on referrals and assist with tracking service outcomesSupport timely access to behavioral health services, including urgent requests

Maintain referral lists, appointment information, program records, and tracking systems

Assist with monthly reports covering contacts, outreach, referrals, follow-up activities, and services provided

Support public outreach activities, educational events, and wellness initiatives

Coordinate with behavioral health clinicians, community providers, and internal program staff

Assist with connecting high-risk individuals to appropriate clinical support

Handle sensitive information with professionalism and maintain strict confidentiality

Follow HIPAA, privacy, documentation, and information-security requirements

Provide general administrative and program support as assigned

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with computers, data entry, scheduling, and standard office applications

Ability to communicate professionally with individuals experiencing behavioral health or personal challenges

Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality

Ability to coordinate multiple appointments, referrals, and follow-up activities accurately

Ability to work effectively with clinical staff, community providers, and program participants

Ability to successfully complete required background screening and facility-access requirements

Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

At least one year of experience working in a behavioral health, healthcare, social services, or related environment

Experience coordinating patient care, clinical appointments, or community referrals

Experience supporting service members, veterans, or military families

Knowledge of behavioral health, suicide prevention, family support, substance-use, or community assistance programs

Familiarity with psychological, medical, and financial resources available throughout Idaho

Experience supporting community outreach, education, or public events
