You will be expected to demonstrate exemplary customer service when servicing patients with the utmost professionalism and respect. We want all of our patients to feel welcome and important to us, and we count on our PSR's to provide that. You're responsible for accurate insurance information to be relayed to the patient, but also applied to their patient account in the software because you will be presenting treatment plans and discussing finances. You MUST be confidant and comfortable explaining treatment, payments, and payment options. Having a good understanding of the value of the treatment goes a long way.Duties include, but are not limited to:Greet patients and guests upon arrival with a pleasant demeanorAnswers phone calls and emails and deliver messages promptly and as neededConfirm and update patient identification, demographic and insurance informationObtains patient consents/referrals/authorizationsSchedules appointments as necessary and maintains an optimal schedule by managing cancellations, changes or delays to appointment statusVerify insurance coverage and collect paymentsMake financial arrangements and collect co-paymentsKeeps waiting area clean and comfortableMaintains an organized and clutter free work areaPresent treatment plan optionsTrack case acceptance and coordinate follow upsRun reports and track other key performance indicatorsOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications and SkillsH.S. Diploma or EquivalentExceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette, including the ability to use independent thinking, sound judgment and creativity when resolving patient issuesStrong computer skillsHighly organized with excellent communication skills (both written and oral)Willing to serve the Practice with a flexible schedulePreferred Qualifications and SkillsPrevious experience in dentalWorking knowledge of dental procedures, treatment, insurance clauses, limitations, and terminologyPersonal desire to grow and learn (AKA a "go-getter")
