Controller

We are seeking an experienced Controller for a company in Rancho Cucamonga . This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and partnering with leadership to support business performance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction accounting , hands-on ERP ideally JD Edwards experience, and at least 7 + years of progressive accounting leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and cash flow management

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making

Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance procedures

Oversee construction-related accounting functions, including job costing, project accounting, revenue recognition, and contract billing

Monitor project performance and work closely with operations leadership to ensure financial accuracy across jobs

Manage audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners

Supervise and mentor accounting staff while driving process improvements and efficiencies

Ensure accurate use and reporting within JD Edwards

Support executive leadership with financial analysis and operational insights

Requirements:

7+ years of accounting experience xsgimln , leadership responsibilities

Must-have construction industry experience

Must-have ERP JD Edwards experience is ideal

Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls

Experience with job costing, project accounting, and construction-related financial processes

Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with leadership and operations teams

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

CPA is a plus
