Please read this Public Notice in its entirety prior to submitting your application for consideration.The incumbent will serve as a Management and Program Analyst (Director, Technology and Information Security) responsible for leading and representing R&E at the action officer level in all matters related to Technology Security and Information Security. Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:Identifies strategic gaps in the smooth operation of all aspects of technology security, to include technology release and foreign disclosure, and the protection of controlled information throughout the technology and acquisition lifecycle.Performs strategic management and program analysis work related to technology security and the improvement of information communication flows and the protection of controlled technical information in support of DoW military capabilities and their export.Prepares, coordinates, and disseminates key administration policies and implementing documentation related to technology security and controlled information protection, working closely and independently with key personnel in the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War (DASW) Science and Technology Program Protection (S&T PP), the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)), and other Department organizations to ensure consistent application of technology release and protection measures.Utilize deep and rigorous knowledge, experience, and management and program analysis expertise across various disciplines, such as requirements analysis, technology transfer, foreign disclosure, program protection, information and communications technology, knowledge management, and risk management.Leads strategy, policy, process, and procedures for technology security and information, technology, and program protection tools, processes, and expertise to advance controlled information handling across the Department of War.Leads methodologies to identify, communicate, and track controlled information loss/exploitation/barriers and provides assistance with issue resolution.
