Software Engineering Intern

Job Description

Build the infrastructure behind secure AI agents. Datawiza helps enterprises secure access for AI agents and people across applications, APIs, and data. We're looking for a Software Engineering Intern to help build our Agent Gateway and develop integrations that connect AI agents to enterprise applications, APIs, and data sources through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

You'll work on practical engineering problems: connecting agents to useful tools, controlling which actions they can take, protecting credentials, and making integrations reliable and easy to use.

What you'll work on Build and improve Agent Gateway features for secure access to APIs and MCP tools.

Develop MCP tools and integrations that help AI agents retrieve information and perform authorized actions across enterprise applications and services.

Contribute to authentication, authorization, credential handling, and audit logging.

Write automated tests, troubleshoot integration issues, and improve reliability and error handling.

Create sample applications, demos, and documentation that help developers get started.

Work with the engineering team to take scoped features from design through implementation and review.

What we're looking for Programming ability in at least one language, demonstrated through coursework, personal projects, open-source contributions, or previous work.

Familiarity with HTTP, APIs, and basic backend development.

Comfort using Git, debugging code, and writing tests.

Curiosity about AI agents, security, and how enterprise systems work.

Clear communication, willingness to ask questions, and the ability to follow through on a project.

Helpful experience, but not required MCP, LLM APIs, agent frameworks, OAuth/OIDC, Docker, cloud platforms, or integrations with enterprise applications such as CRM and ERP systems (including SAP).

You do not need prior MCP or enterprise integration experience to apply. Coursework and personal projects are welcome.

What you'll gain Hands-on experience building AI infrastructure and enterprise integrations, feedback through engineering collaboration and code review, and the opportunity to contribute to product features.

Successful interns may be considered for a full-time software engineering role based on performance, mutual fit, and business needs.
