Parsons is seeking an entry-level engineer with a Top Secret clearance to join our agile, tight-knit development team. In this role, you'll work directly with experts in Computer Network Defense (CND) and Computer Network Operations (CNO) to design and develop tools and systems that drive mission-critical operations into the future. What You'll Be Doing: As an Associate level Software Engineer/Developer, your responsibilities will include:Collaborating with CND and CNO experts to design and develop tools and systems that support mission objectives.Designing and coding software components, units, and modules to meet product specifications and development schedules.Participating in an agile development team to deliver high-quality solutions.Learning and applying new technologies to solve complex problems.Required Skills: To succeed in this role, you will need:Clearance: Active Top Secret or higher security clearance, which requires US citizenshipEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related discipline (experience may be considered in lieu of a degree) and 0-2 years of professional related experienceDesired Skills: While not required, the following skills are highly desirable:Operating Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Windows XP/7/8/10/Server and macOS.Embedded Systems: Knowledge of VxWorks, Linux, or other embedded systems.Testing Experience: Experience performing unit testing and working with formal testing methodologies (e.g., test plan and procedure generation).Programming Languages: Proficiency in C, C++, Java, and web programming.Software Design: Knowledge of software design patterns and object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD).Learning Ability: Strong ability to grasp new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training, and collaboration with team members.Security Clearance Requirement: An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.
