Software Integration EngineerTAP Engineering is seeking a Software Integration Engineer in Annapolis Junction, Maryland to support the integration, deployment, and operation of software across multi-vendor high-performance computing (HPC) servers, clusters, and specialized processing environments. You'll work across operating systems, scheduling platforms, monitoring tools, and automation technologies to ensure software and systems work together reliably in a complex technical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesIntegrate, install, configure, and troubleshoot software across HPC systems and specialized computing environmentsDevelop and maintain Linux shell scripts and automation using Bash, Python, Perl, or JavaScriptSupport Red Hat, CentOS, SUSE, and other Linux-based operating environmentsConfigure and troubleshoot HPC scheduling, resource management, and parallel processing environmentsSupport technologies including Slurm, Lustre, WEKA, VMware, InfiniBand, Mellanox, and NVIDIA platformsWork with compilers, multi-threaded applications, and parallel processing technologiesSupport system monitoring, logging, and performance analysis using tools such as Grafana, ELK, and SplunkApply configuration management and automation tools to maintain consistent system configurationsPerform structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across software and infrastructure componentsSupport system deployments, upgrades, and integration effortsCollaborate with system, network, and software engineers to resolve integration and performance issuesDocument configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting activitiesRequired QualificationsActive TS/SCI clearance with appropriate polygraph (most recent poly within the last 7 years)DoD 8570 IAT II certificationBachelor's degree in a technical discipline or related field and 6+ years of experience, or 11+ years of relevant experience without a degreeExperience working with Linux-based operating systems and shell scriptingProficiency in Python and/or another scripting or programming language such as Perl or JavaScriptExperience supporting HPC, distributed computing, or parallel processing environmentsFamiliarity with HPC schedulers and resource management software, particularly SlurmWorking knowledge of configuration management and automation toolsExperience with system installation, integration, and troubleshootingFamiliarity with technologies such as Lustre, InfiniBand, VMware, NVIDIA, Mellanox, or similar HPC platformsKnowledge of monitoring, logging, and system management toolsUnderstanding of GCC and software compilationStrong analytical and structured troubleshooting skillsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, mission-focused environmentThe anticipated salary range for this position is $110,000–$128,000, based on relevant experience, qualifications, and other applicable factors. The compensation range provided is a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with appropriate polygraph.
