FME Developer

Job Description

Our client, a government agency, is seeking a dedicated FME Developer to join their team. As a FME Developer, you will be part of the Data Integration Department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: FME Developer

Location: Boise, Idaho

Pay Range: $60+

What's the Job?

Design, develop, test, and support enterprise ETL and data integration solutions.

Analyze existing ETL processes and translate complex transformation logic during migration and modernization efforts.

Develop advanced SQL queries, including joins, CTEs, and window functions, to optimize data processing.

Process, transform, and generate XML and JSON data for various data workflows.

Utilize Python and scripting to enhance FME functionality and maintainability of solutions.

What's Needed?

Extensive experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise ETL and data integration solutions.

Proficiency in analyzing and migrating ETL processes, with a focus on modernization.

Advanced SQL development skills, including complex queries and optimization techniques.

Experience processing XML and JSON data formats.

Ability to troubleshoot ETL failures, data-quality issues, and performance bottlenecks effectively.

Desired Skills

FME Form 2024.x – Advanced hands-on experience developing complex, production-ready FME workspaces.

FME Flow 2024.x – Experience publishing, scheduling, automating, monitoring, and troubleshooting FME workflows.

Actian DataConnect 12.x – Hands-on experience developing, maintaining, or migrating DataConnect jobs, maps, and transformations.

FME Flow Advanced Features – Experience with Automations, REST API, advanced scheduling, monitoring, and deployment.

FME Advanced Development – Experience developing reusable custom transformers, workspace templates, and complex FME architectures.

ETL Performance Optimization – Experience identifying and resolving memory, processing, database, and workspace performance issues.

Automated Testing – Experience developing repeatable regression testing, data reconciliation, and automated validation processes.

ETL Modernization – Experience migrating legacy ETL platforms to modern data integration technologies.
