Learn more at www.pavion.comPavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer III to join our shared services team.Primary Responsibilities:Project Leadership & ManagementLead engineering efforts for large-scale, complex, or enterprise-level low-voltage systems projects, ensuring all technical aspects meet quality, budget, and schedule requirementsCollaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive project execution strategies, anticipating risks and addressing complex technical challenges proactivelyServe as the senior technical authority for assigned projects, providing expert guidance, mentorship, and support to project teams and field staff to enhance performance and professional growthFacilitate technical decision-making and problem resolution during all project phases, balancing technical feasibility with business objectivesCoordinate with stakeholders to align engineering deliverables with overall project goals, ensuring smooth communication and efficient issue escalationMonitor project progress and intervene when necessary to keep projects on track, ensuring compliance with company standards and client expectationsEngineering Design & Documentation OversightDevelop, review, and approve complete engineering documentation packages, including drawings, submittals, equipment schedules, and change orders, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with project goalsReview designs to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements, identifying potential issues early and guiding corrective actionsProvide final technical validation for all design documents prior to release, ensuring readiness for procurement, installation, and client submissionEstablish and enforce design quality standards, templates, and processes to drive consistency and reduce reworkOversee the integration of complex systems and technologies into cohesive, functional designs that meet both technical and operational requirementsTechnical Support & TroubleshootingProvide expert-level technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting phases to ensure successful project deliveryAct as the primary escalation point for complex field issues, collaborating with installation teams, service techs, and project managers to resolve challenges efficiently.Lead root cause analysis for system or integration issues, documenting findings and recommending long-term solutionsValidate as-built conditions and ensure updates are accurately reflected in project documentationOversee final system testing and commissioning by verifying configurations, inspecting installations, and confirming full functionalityCoordinate with vendors to address product-related issues affecting installation or performanceShare lessons learned from technical challenges to enhance future design and field execution practicesMentorship & Technical LeadershipMentor junior engineers and reviewers by providing design feedback and promoting best practices in documentation and system designSupport skill development through knowledge sharing, coaching, and hands-on guidance in project execution and standardsLead informal design reviews and serve as a go-to resource for engineering tools, processes, and technical problem-solvingBasic Qualifications:5+ years' experience engineering low-voltage systems, with demonstrated success leading large or complex projectsAdvanced proficiency in CAD or similar design toolsDeep technical knowledge of security, access control, fire alarm, AV, and related systemsStrong understanding of networked systems and IT infrastructure as it relates to low-voltage integrationAbility to design, review, and troubleshoot complex system architecturesExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneouslyStrong problem-solving skills with a focus on practical and efficient solutionsThe salary range for this position is $90,000–$140,000 annually. The starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity.
