Data Architect

Senior Azure/Microsoft Enterprise Data Solutions Architect Apex Systems will support the VP of Business Systems with a scalable partnership to deliver data infrastructure solutions supporting their enterprise systems. To kick off the engagement Apex will provide Alert Innovation with a Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect to work directly with the owner of the ERP and data infrastructure roadmap in a full-time capacity. This role will provide cost/benefit analysis supporting Alert's short term and long-term people, process, and technology decisions enabling operational source data management, data modeling and transformations, and enterprise analytics, reporting, and business intelligence. The solution architect will provide expertise in the Azure/Microsoft technologies used by Alert Innovation (Azure, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Azure Data Factory, Power BI) and in modern data platform architecture (enterprise lakehouse solutions, data strategy/governance, business self-service). The solution architect will serve as a conduit to Apex Consulting Services leadership and a key resource in scoping any additional implementations supporting the roadmap, which will be initiated and staffed using change orders.

Role - Detail

Senior Azure/Microsoft Enterprise Data Solutions Architect - Description: This enterprise architect brings expert knowledge of Azure data infrastructure and Dynamics ERP infrastructure (Finance & Operations), ideally with the experience in a manufacturing, robotics, engineering (not software) environment. This role will require a blend of systems design, configuration, development, and implementation planning.

Primary Responsibilities:

Owns the technical architecture of the engagement and contributes to the strategy and roadmap development, including cost/benefit analysis for short- & long-term implementations enabling operational source data management, data modeling and transformations, and enterprise analytics and business intelligence

Leads discussions with key ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations) stakeholders to refine requirements and inform roadmap decisions related to data and ERP infrastructure (storage, compute, pipelines, platforms/warehouses, and business enablement)

Provisions services, tools and applications in alignment with evolving governance policies

Guides future development by documenting and evangelizing enterprise design principles and patterns

Must Have:

5+ years of experience as enterprise ERP, data, and/or cloud architect with accountability for roadmap analysis, technology decisions, implementation leadership

2+ years of experience in modern enterprise data or analytics platform or engineering roles

Functional technology, data, or analytics experience(s) working with Finance & Operations (ie. Accounts Payable, Supply Chain)

Azure/Microsoft Architect Credentials, ie. Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Solution Architect Expert

Nice to Have:

Azure/Microsoft Developer/Engineer Credentials, ie. Azure Data Fundamentals, Azure SQL Server DB Developer Specialty, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate

Experience in an engineering, R&D, manufacturing environment (not software)
