Senior Full Stack DeveloperThis position for a full-stack software engineer is tasked with designing and coding solutions for the Subsurface Data & Insights Data Flow team. Candidate will work with other team members to deliver data management tools that enable geoscientists to ingest, search, edit, and deliver subsurface data within the OSDU (Open Subsurface Data Universe) platform.Daily tasks include building web page functionality and back-end services on a Microsoft platform using C#, Python, XAML, and Angular within a Visual Studio environment. Functional requirements will be tracked using ADO and daily stand-ups are required to understand progress and blockers. Non-functional requirements will also be delivered including using standardized infrastructure, best practices, building the deployment pipeline, and creating a test automation framework. Candidate will be working with tools such as Azure DevOps CI/CD Pipelines, ServiceNow, and Ansible.The candidate will be working closely with architects, product owner, program management, and external vendors to deliver cost-effective solutions, leveraging vendor APIs to reduce technical debt. Data currently on premise will be migrating into an industry-standard data model, and vendor software will be accessing the data for subsurface interpretation and modeling algorithms. Our organization supports a variety of business units with various data management challenges. The goal is to automate existing manual data management tasks, while allowing ownership by domain, governance where the data is managed, data as a product, and self-service data availability anywhere, any time.Responsibilities:Develop visually appealing front end website architecture, including translating designer mock-ups and wireframes into front-end code.Design user interactions on web pages.Develop functional databases, applications, and servers to support websites on the back end. Develop and design RESTful services and APIs.Ensure that non-functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are being considered when architecting solutions.Candidate must work well within a team and communicate with product owner, scrum master, product line manager, architects, and other developers on the team and across other teams.Technical & Functional Requirements:Full-stack developer with 5+ years experience to assist with building Azure cloud-native solutions for OSDU using modern development languages and tools.Must be proficient in Node.JS, Angular, Python, and C#.NET. Design and build subsurface data management tools that include:Intuitive user-interface.Performant user-interaction.Ample user feedback to ensure customer confidence in working software.Employ vendor functionality where feasible to reduce technical debt.Education:Bachelor's degree is required.
