Job Overview

Our client is looking for a hands-on Backend Java Developer to support a highly technical internal Fraud Risk application . The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing enterprise backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, AWS, and SQL .

This role requires strong application development, debugging, production support, and cloud experience.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot .

Build and maintain scalable microservices and REST APIs .

Develop and support applications running on AWS .

Work with AWS services including S3, Lambda, Glue, EMR, and EKS .

Develop and optimize SQL queries and troubleshoot database issues.

Troubleshoot application and production issues and perform root cause analysis.

Support batch-processing applications and data workflows.

Collaborate with engineering, platform, compliance, and business teams.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and development activities.

Contribute to application reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Must-Have Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot .

Strong experience developing microservices and REST APIs .

Hands-on experience with AWS .

Experience with:

AWS S3

AWS Lambda

AWS Glue

AWS EMR

AWS EKS

Strong SQL and database troubleshooting skills.

Production support and troubleshooting experience.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
