Inside Sales Representative

General Job Description

We are currently searching for an Electrical Sales Representative to join our team as we continue to grow. This individual will be responsible for scheduling and conducting homebuyer meetings on‑site in the design center, interpreting data, builder specifications, and input from other team members. This role also includes assisting with design and administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a background in sales and preferably a basic understanding of electrical and lighting design. They must be detail‑oriented and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment.

What You’ll Do

Schedule and conduct in‑person and virtual meetings with homebuyers

Interpret floor plans, specifications, and schematics

Assist customers in selecting electrical and lighting design options

Create bills of materials for electrical installations

Collaborate with internal teams on design and project details

Maintain accurate records and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Support the Sales Manager with administrative tasks

None

Minimum Years of Experience

2-4

Specific Qualifications

2+ years of sales experience (preferred)

Basic knowledge of electrical systems or lighting design (preferred)

Strong communication and customer service skills

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

Self‑motivated and able to work independently

Technical Skills

Microsoft Office (Excel – intermediate level preferred)

Design software (Bluebeam preferred, CAD, Photoshop, etc.)

Builder platforms such as SupplyPro (a plus)

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver’s license with a clean record

Ability to pass a background check

Work Environment

Office‑based in a design center setting

Regular interaction with customers, builders, and internal teams

Fast‑paced environment with multiple appointments and deadlines

Occasional visits to job sites or model homes

Physical Requirements

Prolonged sitting and computer use

Standing and walking during customer meetingsAbility to lift up to 25 lbs (materials, sample boards, etc.)

Visual ability to review plans and design documents
