In this role, you will be a key member of the RM modeling system engineering team working on modem systems features and requirements.

Description

Model, design, and simulate state‑of‑the‑art RF for 4G/5G/6G modem wireless communication systems.

Implement system models and perform detailed performance investigations to allow performance sign‑off.

Collaborate with RF systems and analog circuit designers to capture designs and develop models.

Develop AI/ML modem solutions and mitigation techniques.

Responsibilities

Develop RF models for 5G/6G cellular and 5G NTN

Perform end-to-end characterization of the RF impairments of the modem, develop analytical models and support RF/modem spec definition

Develop RF mitigation algorithms for various impairments

Minimum Qualifications

BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience

Deep knowledge of signal processing and communication systems

Strong analytical skills (linear algebra, random processes, detection and estimation, etc.)

Experience with Matlab, C/C++, Python for algorithm development.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AI/ML applications in wireless communication is strongly desirable.

Strong background in AI/ML and familiarity with the tools such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.

Familiarity with RF impairments (phase noise, DC offset, IQ imbalance, inter-modulation, etc), their impact on modem performance, and RF mitigation techniques.

Knowledge of RF/analog components (LNA, filters, mixers, ADC/DAC), digital front-end processing, automatic gain control.

Knowledge of cellular communication standards: 5GNR, 4G LTE.

Knowledge of RF systems and design flows with hands‑on experience in lab testing & characterization.

Compensation

Base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $302,200. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
