Location: Hybrid - Irving, TX (401 Las Colinas Blvd W, Bldg B-112847) - 3 days/week onsite

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 9-12 years of experience in software development to join a team of 5, focused on building and delivering new microservices. This is a hybrid role requiring the candidate to work from the client's Irving, TX office at least 3 days a week, with an in-person interview required.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead engineering efforts independently - owning design, development, and end-to-end delivery of new microservices

Design and build Java/J2EE-based applications using Spring Boot

Develop and maintain event-driven systems using Kafka

Collaborate within an Agile (Scrum/Jira) environment

Drive CI/CD practices using modern DevOps tooling

Required Skills & Experience: 10-12 years of experience in software development

Strong proficiency in Java 17 with hands-on Spring Boot-based microservices development

Solid experience in Java (8+), JUnit, J2EE, and Web Services (SOAP & REST)

Hands-on experience with Kafka (mandatory)

Experience with Kubernetes; exposure to React.js is a plus

Proficient in CI/CD and DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy / Harness

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Jira) - mandatory

Self-driven, highly motivated, and comfortable taking ownership with minimal supervision

Continuous learner, actively exploring new technologies and modern architecture trends

Top 3 Must-Haves:

Hands-on experience designing and delivering Java/J2EE applications using Spring Boot

Cloud experience (preferred)

Knowledge of Kafka (mandatory)
