We enable customers to design what they want, when they want it and deliver harness builds at record-breaking speed.We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to own and execute wire harness programs from engineering release through production readiness. You will develop manufacturing documentation, define build processes, and drive program-level improvements that enhance quality, repeatability, and scalability.This role is ideal for an engineer who can independently execute defined programs, solve technical challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement—without needing to manage org-wide standards or enterprise-level systems. Prior wire-harness experience is not required but strongly preferred.What you'll own:Program Execution & Manufacturing ReadinessOwn manufacturing readiness for assigned harness programs from kickoff through releaseDevelop engineering packages including work instructions, formboards, and basic tooling and fixture conceptsTranslate drawings, BOMs, and customer requirements into clear, production-ready processesCoordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure programs meet quality, schedule, and manufacturability expectationsProvide technical clarity and guidance during program reviews and build planningProcess Development & ImprovementDefine and refine manufacturing processes to improve build quality, consistency, and efficiencyEvaluate parts and assemblies to determine practical, scalable build approachesSupport process validation, workflow optimization, and equipment/tooling readinessApply lean principles, time studies, and capacity considerations to improve throughputIdentify improvement opportunities within assigned programs and drive implementationDocumentation & StandardsEnsure all documentation is clear, accurate, and aligned with quality and customer requirementsMaintain and improve work instructions, formboards, and process documentationPartner with Quality to ensure compliance with IPC-620, NASA 8739.4, and customer specificationsContinuous Improvement & CollaborationSurface recurring issues and contribute to structured process improvementsSupport implementation of standardized workflows and engineering best practicesCollaborate with software/product teams to enhance manufacturing workflows and traceabilityMaintain adherence to lean principles, 5S, and aerospace quality standardsCustomer & Cross-Functional CollaborationSupport technical communication with customers in partnership with Program Management or senior engineersProvide input on risks, tradeoffs, and feasibility during program reviewsCoordinate with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth program executionWhat you'll bring to the team:RequiredBachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field, or equivalent hands-on experience3–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in production environments (wire harness, electrical assembly, aerospace, electronics, or similar)Experience supporting or owning manufacturing builds or programs end-to-endWorking knowledge of:Process development and documentationLean manufacturing and 5STime studies and basic capacity planningCAD tools for creating assembly drawings and formboardsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to execute with moderate autonomyAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentEffective communication skills across engineering, production, and quality teamsPreferredExperience with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and/or NASA STD 8739.4Background in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturingExperience in contract manufacturing or high-mix productionHands-on familiarity with harness fabrication, testing, or assembly (not required)Exposure to MES/ERP systemsExperience supporting NPI or early-stage production buildsExposure to structured continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, Six Sigma)Compensation:Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000This is an onsite role at our headquarters in Redondo Beach, CA or Cypress, CA.Benefits:Unmatched opportunities to drive impact on a friendly and mission-driven teamOwn a piece of the pie with equity participation!Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life and long-term disability coverageFlexible Spending Account (FSA) and Dependent Spending Account (DSA) for health-related expenses20 vacation days per year and 12 company holidays for rest and relaxationa 401(k) plan to set yourself up for retirementChoose a record you love, and we'll add it to our growing vinyl collection!$50/month DoorDash credit – lunch is on us!Up to $100/month reimbursement for gym membershipsFully stocked kitchen with snacks and beveragesRegular team-building events, lunches, and the occasional breakfast burrito!Bright, open office with communal spaces for collaboration and free parkingConveniently located near the metro, major freeways and local dining spotsWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
