Construction Superintendent

Construction Superintendent Location: Austin, Texas

Job Description Construction superintendents are responsible for the daily operations of an assigned construction project, from preconstruction through substantial completion. Duties will vary depending on the type of project.

Procurement

Scheduling

Subcontractor agreement preparation

Daily on‑site supervision of subcontractors

Daily reports and progress tracking

Management of on‑site consultants and vendors

Quality control and quality assurance

Accountability for all divisional costs

Knowledge, understanding and management of cost accounting and P&L

Assisting the senior construction manager on estimating

Monitoring site safety and SWWPP programs

Minimum Qualifications Minimum 10 years’ commercial construction experience

Experience in ground‑up commercial construction

Financial construction management experience

Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), MicroProject, and Procore

Ability to write detailed daily tracking logs

Ability to draft professional correspondence to vendors, subcontractors, government, municipal officials, etc.

Strong understanding of blueprints, construction documents, contracts, and legal terminology

Excellent verbal communication skills

Strong cost management and execution skills

Understanding of ABC/UBC/NEC/FPA codes and compliance

Ability to estimate and submit cost estimates to upper management/owners

Experience dealing with city municipalities, owners, and investors

Travel within Texas may be required
