Java Full stack Developer

Republic Finance is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer III with strong expertise in Java and Python to join the development team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, integrating, testing, and deploying enterprise-level applications in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing innovative software solutions that improve business processes and enhance customer experience. This role requires strong backend development skills along with experience in HTML5, CSS3, RESTful/SOAP APIs, CI/CD, cloud technologies, and modern frontend development practices. The engineer will work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and other cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and high-quality technical solutions. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement scalable software applications primarily using Java and Python. Develop custom applications using HTML5, CSS3, and modern web development technologies. Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Develop and maintain enterprise applications that support business operations and improve customer experience. Integrate internal and external applications using RESTful and SOAP APIs. Work with middleware and third-party systems to establish reliable application integrations. Develop clean, maintainable, reusable, and scalable code following established development standards. Write comprehensive unit tests and participate in automated testing activities to ensure application quality. Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote coding best practices. Utilize CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment. Work with cloud-based technologies and environments to develop and deploy applications. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software defects and production issues across development, testing, and production environments. Analyze application performance and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement. Create and maintain technical documentation, design documentation, API documentation, and application support materials. Work with modern frontend build and development tools such as Webpack and Babel. Utilize state management frameworks/libraries such as Redux or MobX when developing modern user interfaces. Use Git and other source-control tools for version management and collaborative development. Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and other team ceremonies. Mentor and guide junior engineers by sharing technical knowledge and promoting coding standards and best practices. Stay current with emerging technologies, development frameworks, cloud platforms, and software engineering best practices.

Required Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Java development. Strong programming experience with Python. Experience with .NET Core is highly desirable/required based on project needs. Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3. Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs. Hands-on experience with SOAP APIs and enterprise application integrations. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices. Experience working with cloud technologies/platforms. Experience with Git and source-control management. Knowledge of modern frontend development tools such as Webpack and Babel. Experience with frontend state management libraries such as Redux or MobX. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies. Experience writing unit tests and participating in code reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 7+ years of professional software development experience. Strong understanding of application architecture, design patterns, and software engineering principles. Experience working in a collaborative Agile development environment. Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Candidate Requirements

Must be able to work 5 days onsite in Plano, TX. Local candidates are strongly preferred. Face-to-face interview is mandatory. Must be available to work on a 6-month contract. Candidates must have strong hands-on development experience in Java and Python. Candidates should have experience with modern web technologies, APIs, CI/CD, and cloud environments. OPT candidates are not accepted. Any other valid work authorization/visa status is acceptable, subject to client requirements.
