Mechanical Assemblers

Location: Irvine Spectrum, CA (Manufacturing Facility)

Compensation: $22.00 $24.00 per hour (DOE)

Employment Type: Long-term Temporary (12+ months); potential for Permanent Hire

Schedule: 4/10 workweek (four 10-hour shifts per week). The standard schedule is Monday-Thursday, 5:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

Role Summary:

We are looking for three (3) skilled Assembly Technicians with a strong mechanical background to join our production team. You will be responsible for high-precision assembly, troubleshooting technical errors, and maintaining strict adherence to quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Precision Assembly: Utilize manual dexterity to assemble complex components using torque drivers, drills, and various measuring tools.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical or system issues based on digital error messages.
  • Data Entry & Tracking: Use Microsoft Excel to log production data and track assembly progress.
  • Quality Compliance: Strictly follow all ethical guidelines, safety procedures, and assembly instructions to ensure zero-defect production.
  • ESD Safety: Maintain a safe workspace by following Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protocols.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven track record in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Tools: Expert familiarity with hand tools, power drills, torque drivers, and precision measuring instruments.

Skills:

  • High Detail Orientation: History of low error rates and exactness.
  • Adaptability: Ability to pivot quickly between tasks and remain calm under pressure or changing deadlines.
  • Manual Dexterity: A genuine passion for "putting things together" and working with your hands.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus):

  • Candidates with experience in the following will be prioritized:
  • Pipettes and light meters.
  • Temperature data loggers.
  • Laser collimations and Oscilloscopes.
  • Formal ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) training.
