Our work depends on TS/SCI cleared Database Architect joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO with a preference to St. Louis, MO.How A PostgreSQL Database Analyst Will Make An ImpactGeneral Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has an immediate need for a PostgreSQL database architect to analyze, design, develop, implement, and support database infrastructure deployment and management. The individual will work under limited supervision and perform additional duties as assigned to include, but not limited to:Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of servers running on one or more operating systems.Maintains database integrity and security, configures role-based access control (RBAC), and sets up administrative accounts.Sets up administrator and service accounts.Maintain documentation for configurations, standards, and proceduresInteracts with users and evaluates vendor products.Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.Provides advice on performance tuning and training to end-users.Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.Evaluates open-source or vendor tools and participates in database migration/special modernization projects.Collaborate with developers on schema design, query optimization, and stored proceduresPlan and execute database upgrades, patching, and migrationsEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirementsWhat You'll Need To SucceedRequirements:Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience5 + years of related database analysis and/or administration experience.PostgreSQL experience required. Oracle database administration a plus.CompTIA Security+ or equivalent recommended.Experience in PostgreSQL administration/tuning; including knowledge and implementation of database high-availability solutions and performance tuningExperience in monitoring, creating, and managing PostgreSQL server agent alertsExperience with Database backup, restore, migration, and Database snapshot technologies/strategiesKnowledge on how to build/maintain efficient database table structures for both transactional and warehouse dataMigration experience with Oracle, MySQL, and PostgresSQLCandidates must hold a TS/SCILocation: On Customer SiteUS Citizenship Required
