Job Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of EVOLOH’s Santa Clara facility while ensuring the whole company complies with environmental, health, and safety regulations in both offices.

This manager will lead all projects related to physical infrastructure in Santa Clara.

This role requires a proactive individual who can manage the physical infrastructure, ensure a safe working environment, and lead initiatives ensuring regulatory compliance and sustainability.

Responsibilities

Oversee day‑to‑day building operations, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and general maintenance.

Manage and coordinate repairs, renovations, and building improvements.

Ensure building systems are operating efficiently and perform routine inspections.

Execute repairs, enhancements, and upgrades as appropriate and within code compliance requirements.

Manage relationships, projects, and budgets with permitting authorities, vendors, contractors, and external service providers.

Ensure timely and efficient management of space allocation and office moves.

Handle incoming and outgoing shipments, monitor inventory levels, and communicate ordering needs.

Develop and manage the building’s operational budget and track expenses.

Maintain building security, access controls, and fire safety equipment.

EHS Management (All locations)

Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).

Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards.

Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

Provide EHS training and awareness programs to all staff and ensure compliance with waste management, water usage, and other environmental regulations.

Manage emergency response plans, including fire drills, evacuations, and spill response.

Maintain and update documentation and permits related to safety, environmental compliance, and certifications.

Report and investigate all Workers’ Compensation claims, using findings to update policies as needed.

Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project progress, milestones, and outcomes.

Project Management

Lead all projects related to the physical infrastructure of the Santa Clara Headquarters.

Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the COO or CEO, as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Chemical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (required).

Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, and Environmental Safety, or a related field (preferred).

Certifications

Certified Facility Manager (CFM), or equivalent (preferred).

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or OSHA certification (preferred).

Work Experience

Min 5 years of EHS Management experience.

Min 5 years of Building Management experience.

Skills & Abilities

Fluency in English language.

General hands‑on abilities to identify and fix common building issues.

CPR training certification (preferred).

Ability to build and maintain relationships with trustworthy vendors in the area.

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and make decisions under pressure.

Proficiency with building management systems (BMS), CMMS, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year.

Salary is based on experience.

Schedule

8 hour shift Monday to Friday & On Call.
