Whether you're starting out or leveling up, Academy is a place where fun can't lose!EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field preferredWork Experiences5-7+ years of overall Information Technology experience5+ years of experience implementing and enhancing Sterling Order Management applications across retail environments3+ years of experience with the IBM Sterling Order Management Suite, including demonstrated subject matter expertiseExperience delivering at least two full lifecycle implementations (requirements gathering, design, development, implementation, and optimization)SkillsAbility to lead full software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities, including requirements, design, build, testing, and implementationHands-on experience with Java and OMS development, including SOA, XML/XSLT, REST, and JSONExperience with solution estimation and team structure definitionExperience working on multiple concurrent projects in an Agile environmentHands-on experience with IBM Sterling Order Management (versions 9.5 and/or 10)Experience with inventory management systems and processesProficiency with development tools such as Eclipse IDE and SoapUIExperience with SQL databases (e.g., Oracle, DB2); familiarity with NoSQL databases preferredFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, GitHub, or BitbucketStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsAbility to mentor and support the development of team membersAbility to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of IBM Sterling Store and IBM Call Center applications preferredResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership across Sterling Order Management, Web Store, Call Center, and inventory modulesDesign, develop, and enhance solutions supporting order capture, sourcing, fulfillment orchestration, inventory visibility, payments, cancellations, returns, and customer care workflowsParticipate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design documentationBuild and maintain integrations between Sterling OMS and external systems, including upstream/downstream applications, cloud platforms, and middleware solutionsImprove system stability, performance, and scalability of Sterling OMS applicationsConduct design and code reviews and promote development best practicesResearch and recommend technologies to support the overall technical strategyParticipate in full SDLC activities, including sprint planning, estimation, and development sessionsCollaborate with developers, QA, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutionsTroubleshoot system and process issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutionsDevelop reusable code and libraries to improve development efficiencyMonitor and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and development practicesMentor team members to improve technical capability and overall team performancePerform additional duties as assignedPhysical Requirements & AttendanceAbility to meet standard vision and hearing requirements for job performanceAdherence to company work hours, policies, and professional standardsRegular office attendance requiredEqual Employment OpportunityAcademy is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate with regard to employment opportunities or practices on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other category protected by law.
