Sr Software Engineer

Sr. Software EngineerDZYNE Technologies is looking for a Software Engineer to take on the development and testing of ground control station (GCS) software. The ideal candidate is a junior- to mid-level professional with 3+ years of experience who will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software systems, with a particular focus on ground control station software. The role involves building reliable, scalable applications that support mission-critical operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating throughout the full software development lifecycle.Required Duties and Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and servicesCollaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality featuresWrite clean, efficient, and well-tested code in Python or Go, building new features and optimizing existing services (e.g., APIs, backend services)Manage source code and branching strategies using Git and GitflowTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performanceContribute to system architecture and technical decision-makingSupport CI/CD processes and deployment workflowsRequired Skills/Qualifications:5+ years of professional software engineering experienceProficiency in Go and/or PythonProficiency with Git and GitflowSolid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and code quality standardsExperience building and maintaining production-grade applicationsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyExcellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaborativelyFamiliarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)Preferred Skills/Qualifications:Exposure to message queuing systems (e.g., ZeroMQ, RabbitMQ)Experience with APIs, microservices, or containerization technologiesExperience with Java, C/C++, or other high level programming languagesExperience with full-stack development and modern web frameworks (Node.js)Experience with Protobuffers and message serialization librariesExposure to DevOps practices and automated testingEducation:B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent time and experience in the industryClearance Level Required: None requiredTravel Required: Up to 10%Working Conditions: The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities.Physical Demands: Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.Work Authorization Requirement: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.Salary: $130,000 - $166,000 annually. Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
