Software Integration EngineerThe Software Integration Engineer plans and performs a variety of tasks across the areas of integrating hardware modules into a combat vehicle system, integrating software items onto Linux Operating Systems, scripting, networking, cybersecurity hardening and scans, troubleshooting, problem solving, and software verification testing. The Software Integration Engineer:Integrates and tests software applications running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and hardware components on a combat vehicle systemApplies knowledge of Ethernet and CAN bus within software applications or tools to test and troubleshoot problemsCollaborates with multidisciplinary engineering and vehicle test teams to investigate reported issues and analyze collected dataEnsures that technical approach is consistent with established engineering principles and practicesEnsures that product outcomes meet customer needs and that customer and company technical, system, performance, process, and quality requirements are metIntegration and testing of software applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating SystemsAbility to build and maintain a software and hardware integration testbedUnderstanding of Ethernet and CAN bus protocolsGit and Jira/Gitlab Configuration Management toolsExceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are a MUSTFamiliarity with current computer applications and technologies in applicable engineering disciplinesAbility to apply critical thinking to solve technical design and development problemsAbility to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers to solve technical problemsAbility to travel to the customer siteAbility to work on combat vehicle systemsRelevant internship experienceIntegration of software applications on Red Hat Enterprise LinuxPackaging software as RPMs and binary executablesDrivers, shared objects, and static librariesBachelor's degree in STEM field
