Maintenance TechnicianLegrand has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join the Starline Team in Canonsburg, PA. The Maintenance Technician will assist the maintenance team in installing, maintaining and repairing equipment, machinery and vehicles.What Will You Do?Performing basic repairs and installations of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems with assistance from the Maintenance Specialist.Assist in repairs of mechanical or electrical problems.Assist in dismantling of equipment to access and remove defective parts using hand and power tools.Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment.Supports individual departments by performing essential Preventive Maintenance (PM) on various equipment.Inspects mobile equipment and performs required PM's to ensure functionalityProvide facilities keeping services such as light bulb replacement, plumbing repair and general facilities cleaning as needed.Advises maintenance specialist on items found during PM's or other tasks that require more attention or repairsProvides emergency attention and repairs of equipment to maintain production.Read and interpret facility blueprints with assistanceHanding tools, supplies and materials to other workers; preparing the work area, cleaning the work area or equipment.Oversee work being completed by outside contractorsAdditional duties to be assigned as required.Source parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms.Basic troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems with assistance.Assist with grounds keeping as neededFlexibility to work overtime as neededEducation:High school diploma or equivalentAdvanced training in a relevant field preferredPrior experience in industrial plant maintenance preferredStrong documentation skills requiredSkills/Knowledge/Abilities:Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatic, carpentry skills, plumbing/pipe fittingBasic knowledge of welding and cutting principals a plusBasic HVAC knowledge a plusBasic ability to read mechanical and or electrical drawingsBasic ability to read blue printsAble to multi taskAble to work with a variety of company levels (daily interface depending on assigned tasks)Personal Qualities/Behaviors:This position will have exposure to the manufacturing areas where, under certain areas, the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection are required.Ability to stand, bend and walk for extended periods of time.Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.This position will be exposed to heights over 10 feet off the groundThis position will be exposed to confined spaces.Ability to work outdoors in a variety of conditions including all four seasons.About Us:Legrand is the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures.
