Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Refresh Mental Healthcare Center. In this full-time role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to a diverse population while working remotely. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments to identify the specific mental health needs of clients and their families, ensuring accurate documentation including medical and psychological histories.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with clients' unique circumstances and goals, emphasizing trauma-informed care.
Engage with clients in regular therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused counseling.
Coordinate with community resources to provide referrals and support services, enhancing the continuum of care for families in need.
Educate team members on clients' psychosocial stressors to foster a deeper understanding of their needs, promoting collaborative solutions.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical records that reflect client progress and interventions, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our mental health counselors work with a varied clientele, including individuals experiencing substance abuse issues, survivors of domestic violence, children affected by maltreatment, and adults dealing with trauma and mental health disorders. The focus is on providing culturally competent care that respects the diverse backgrounds and experiences of each client.
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Psychologist in California.
Strong therapeutic skills, including a demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred Experience
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a clinical mental health setting, specifically providing counseling services to a varied clientele. Experience in crisis intervention and case management will be highly regarded, as it promotes effective support for clients facing complex life challenges.
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
