To lead the architecture and modernization of large-scale cloud-native backend platforms for enterprise e-commerce and loyalty ecosystems, the full-time Backend Architect will architect scalable APIs, event-driven systems, and microservices using Python (FastAPI) and AWS technologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish architecture standards and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Define and own backend architecture strategy for enterprise e-commerce and customer engagement platforms
Architect scalable, cloud-native backend ecosystems and establish architecture standards across backend systems
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to backend engineering teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
12+ years of backend engineering and architecture experience with strong expertise in Python-based ecosystems
Deep expertise in FastAPI, REST API architecture, and distributed systems design
Proven experience architecting large-scale event-driven platforms and cloud-native microservices
Extensive experience designing scalable systems on AWS cloud platforms
Strong understanding of e-commerce ecosystems and digital ordering workflows
