Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily freight operations while delivering exceptional service to customers and carrier partners. This entry-level position plays a vital role in ensuring shipments move efficiently from pickup through delivery while learning the transportation industry and ShipNova's operational processes.

This role is ideal for someone beginning a career in logistics who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems, and building relationships. Successful candidates are organized, proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn.

What You'll Do

Coordinate freight shipments from pickup through final delivery

Monitor shipment progress and proactively identify potential service disruptions

Communicate shipment updates with customers, carriers, and internal teams

Schedule pickup and delivery appointments

Resolve shipment delays, service exceptions, and operational issues

Maintain accurate shipment information within the Transportation Management System (TMS)

Ensure all required shipping documentation is complete and organized

Build relationships with carriers to support successful shipment execution

Work closely with Account Managers and Sales to deliver an exceptional customer experience

Assist with reporting, data entry, and operational tracking

Learn industry best practices while continually expanding logistics knowledge

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred

0–2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, customer service, operations, or a related field

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational and time management abilities

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in freight brokerage, transportation, supply chain, or dispatch

Experience working with customers or vendors

Familiarity with transportation management software (preferred but not required)
