Job Summary - Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead quality assurance and quality control activities for engineering, construction, and industrial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations while supporting design reviews, testing activities, quality documentation, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities Lead Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, applicable codes, and client requirements.

Perform detailed reviews of mechanical designs, components, and systems utilizing AutoCAD and engineering design tools to verify accuracy, functionality, constructability, and compliance with applicable standards.

Conduct multidisciplinary design reviews using Navisworks and coordinate resolution of design clashes and constructability issues.

Plan, witness, and approve hydrostatic pressure tests, pneumatic tests, functional tests, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to verify equipment integrity, safety, and performance.

Manage pressure vessel testing activities and ensure compliance with applicable ASME, ASTM, API, ISO, and client specifications.

Review, approve, and monitor QA/QC reports and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve quality performance and project outcomes.

Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, quality procedures, inspection reports, and project documentation.

Develop and implement engineering processes, work instructions, and quality procedures to maintain compliance with ISO standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Collaborate with regulatory agencies, third-party inspectors, and compliance organizations to ensure designs and engineering solutions meet certification and regulatory requirements.

Develop, maintain, and manage project quality documentation, including material certificates, calibration records, inspection reports, test records, non-conformance reports (NCRs), inspection requests, site instructions, and material traceability records.

Monitor quality documentation throughout the project lifecycle to ensure accuracy, completeness, and contractual compliance.

Prepare and present weekly and monthly quality reports to internal stakeholders and client management, highlighting quality metrics, project status, compliance performance, and corrective action plans.

Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, vendors, and client teams to resolve technical and quality-related issues and ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.

Minimum 10+ years of experience in Mechanical QA/QC, Construction, Oil & Gas, Utilities, Water, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Infrastructure projects.

Experience with hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, pressure vessel testing, FAT, and commissioning activities.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and related engineering software.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and technical documentation.

Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ASME, ASTM, API, and other applicable industry standards.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
