Customer Service Technician

U-Haul is seeking friendly, motivated people to join our team as a Customer Service Technician. In this role, you will be the face of U‑Haul’s exceptional service, helping customers inside and outside the U‑Haul Center with products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside U-Haul Center with U-Haul products & services
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Details

Location: 8222 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, South Carolina 29418, United States of America.

Job Type: Part‑time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

Shifts: Day shift, Evening shift

Weekly day range: Every weekend, Monday to Friday

Work setting: In‑person

Health & Safety

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. Employees may be required to use protective clothing, masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands: The job requires some physical exertion such as long periods of remaining stationary, moving around an office and occasionally outdoors, positioning oneself to reach objects at varying heights, and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs, assisted or unassisted.
