Our team is currently hiring for labor grade 15.Position Responsibilities:Mechanical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassisAssemble Electro?Mechanical assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, and standard operating proceduresDemonstrated exceptional attention to detailUse precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, micrometers and calipersPerform visual inspection of Electro?Mechanical assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly and test proceduresEnsure product quality and conformance to specificationsDocument non?conformances and associated rework/repairSoldering and reworking of through?hole and SMT componentsSupport conformal coat, masking, epoxy application and coatingOther duties as assignedThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.Shift:This position is primarily 2nd shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives. Candidates must be able to work any shift assigned.Union:This is an hourly union-represented position governed by the Cabinet Makers, Millmen and Industrial Carpenters Union (CMM&IC Local 721).New hires and employees transferring from non-union roles may be required to attend or complete training within their 90-day probationary period. Continued employment is contingent on successfully completing the probationary period.Security Clearance:This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Minimum of High School Diploma or GEDMore than 1 year of experience following written and verbal work instructionsAbility to use steady hand-eye coordination to work with small partsCapable of lifting 20lbs or more on a frequent basisAbility to stand and move (reach, bend, or stoop) to handle products for extended periods of time with only short breaksPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):More than 1 year of experience building a variety of component-level space products (e.g. avionics boxes, batteries, mechanisms, optics, printed circuit board assemblies, solar arrays, etc.)More than 1 year of experience in Electro-Mechanical assembly on high reliability productsMore than 1 year of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specificationsMore than 1 year of experience working in a Clean Room environmentMore than 1 year of experience in electronics and electro-mechanical and PCB assembliesMore than 1 year of experience mixing epoxy materialsMore than 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environmentMore than 1 year of experience using a Microscope to inspect partsMore than 1 year of experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systemsMore than 1 year of experience in J-STD-001 SolderingMore than 1 year of experience using calipers, a force gauge and/or tweezersMore than 1 year of experience using structures hand tools, test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheersConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
