Java Developer

Java DeveloperClient is currently seeking a strong Java developer who enjoys interacting with both customers and peers to join our Extended Product Lifecycle Management (EPLM) Team. The Java developer will be involved in all phases of projects, from analysis of client's needs to implementation, customization, and reporting on a variety of solutions. The developer will be dealing with large, high-profile clients in the automotive, defence, and manufacturing industries and will be required to configure and customize solutions to the client's complex needs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a willingness to provide support along with strong technical knowledge. Recent and upcoming college graduates are encouraged to apply. PLM specific training is provided.Responsibilities include:Developing and maintaining software using Java and enterprise system APIsActively participating in all stages of the implementation project from development through testingDeveloping relationships with the clients and supporting them during the project lifecycleMeeting with and utilizing teammates' expertise to maximize project efficiencyDocumenting methods and lessons learnedExperience and required skills:Ability to work on US Government contracts requiredSome travel requiredBachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience in the development industryExperience with Java programmingProfessional experience in software implementation is a plusWeb-based development experience (JSP, JavaScript, MVC, Spring) preferredIn depth knowledge of object-oriented methodologies and API development preferredDatabase experience (Oracle, SQL Server) is a plus
