Position Overview The MRI Technologist Trainee learns the safety, customer service skills, documentation and operation of MRI through on-the-job training under the direction of a registered technologist. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Conducts pre-screening of all personnel before entering the scanning room to ensure their safety.

Scans and documents patients under the direction of a registered technologist to meet all customer (If applicable) and Akumin requirements.

Completes necessary documentation for patient files to ensure all customer, Akumin policy and Joint Commission requirements are met.

Other job duties as needed.

Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Certificate from college or technical school or enrolled in a Radiology program.

Actively enrolled in an accredited Radiology or MRI program + CPR certification.

Local travel may be required.

For trainees performing mid-day moves: Active state driver's license.

Ability to work at several locations

Strong customer service skills.

Organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

The COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment

All candidates who accept an offer for employment will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Preferred Associate's degree or equivalent experience.

Certificate from college or technical school.

Completion of a Radiology program.

Experience in patient care environment.
