Software Engineer - SeniorJoin the QuestaSim (Simulation) R&D team at Siemens EDA as a Senior Software Engineer and drive innovation in simulation technology. In this role, you'll architect and develop cutting-edge algorithms and software solutions that power industry-leading simulation tools. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll solve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of strategic initiatives from conception through delivery. Your technical expertise, problem-solving acumen, and leadership will directly shape the future of electronic design automation.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement AI/ML and Agentic AI solutions in design and verification tools, establishing architecture patterns and best practices for enterprise-scale deploymentsBuild scalable AI platforms leveraging LLMs, Agentic Frameworks, MCP, LangGraph, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technologiesDevelop intelligent agents capable of tool usage, workflow automation, reasoning, planning, and autonomous task executionEvaluate and select AI technologies, models, frameworks, and infrastructure to meet product and business objectivesArchitect end-to-end AI systems including data pipelines, model serving, observability, memory management, and deployment strategiesCollaborate with engineering leaders, product management, and domain experts to transform ideas into production-grade solutionsQualifications Required2+ years of proven industry software engineering experience with at least 1 years in AI/ML focused developmentDemonstrated expertise architecting and delivering enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions from concept to productionStrong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learnDeep knowledge of LLM-based systems, Agentic AI frameworks, RAG architectures, and vector databasesPractical experience developing AI agents or copilots that interface with tools or external APIsSolid understanding of agentic design patterns and strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, and API designPreferredExperience with code understanding systems, AST analysis, or developer productivity toolsProficiency in C/C++Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD practicesBackground in Digital Design, SystemVerilog, or EDA toolsKnowledge of compilers, parallelism, or GPU profiling toolsThis position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
