The firmware team at Anduril develops core technology used across multipleproductssuch as Ghost, Barracuda,and Roadrunner.This role willwork closelywith Electrical Engineeringand RF teamsto developwireless radiosolutionsfor our autonomous vehicles.You'll contributeto low-level board bring-up as well as networking protocol design and implementation.WHAT YOU'LL DOWork closely with cross-functional teams to define software architecture and interface specifications for embedded wireless systemsAnalyze and implement wireless protocols and vehicle command/control schemesImplement low-level device drivers and board support packages for software-defined radio productsOwn complex firmware features of an embedded systemQuickly debug and troubleshoot issues that span the electrical, firmware, and software boundariesHelp select microcontrollers and peripherals and review schematics with electrical engineering teamConcurrently manage involvement in multiple projects at various stagesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBS or MS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent industry experienceExperience: 5+ years of experience in firmware/embedded software development,ideallywith a focus on embeddedwireless or networking products.Strong C coding ability for embedded systemsExperience with one or more microcontroller cores (ARM, AVR, MSP430,RISC-V, etc.)Experience integrating microcontrollers with analog and digital sensorsExperience developing firmware in RTOS(ThreadX, FreeRTOS)environmentsSolid debugging skillsusingJTAG/SWD, Oscilloscopes, and Logic analyzersUnderstanding and application of coding best practices,testing methodologies, and performance optimizationMust be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilitiesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSSolid experience with common bus protocols such asSPI, I2C, CAN, RS232,WiFi,BLE,Ethernet, etc.Experience with networking protocols (such as TCP/IP) and wireless access methods (such as CSMA/CDMA/TDMA and FDM/TDM) and their effect on throughput,latency,andsystem capacityUnderstanding of queuing, bandwidth allocation, and wireless interfacingExperience with power management and low-power design techniquesFamiliarity with hardware schematics, datasheets, and PCB layoutsHave a bias for action.
