Warehouse Associate

Job Description

Company Description ER Wagner is a long-established manufacturing company with facilities in Menomonee Falls, WI and Brookfield, IL, producing high-quality hinges, stampings, casters, wheels, and tubes for over 125 years.

Summary

Under the supervision of the Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining the warehouse to ensure accuracy when preparing and packing for shipment, maintaining accurate inventory of finished goods, storing materials and supplies, and transporting to departments as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Prioritize safety and accuracy throughout all work functions

Accurately pick and label products by matching the products to the pick ticket.

Appropriately pack products to prepare for shipment

Transport materials and finished goods from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas using a forklift truck, powered palled jacks, and manual pallet jacks.

Maintain warehouse; ensure neat and orderly storage of material and finished goods.

Maintain accurate inventory records on computer system.

Notify supervisor of inventory discrepancies.

Operate hoist to lift heavier material and finished goods.

Periodically, take inventory of finished goods, material, equipment and supplies in storage as assigned.

Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures.

Education and/or Experience

Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma and one to three years of related experience.

Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations and to other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to assess and resolve problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Other Qualifications

Requires the ability to operate various tools and equipment to include a computer, hoist, pallet jacks and various small hand tools. Requires the ability to pass forklift operator course and drive a forklift.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.
