Oracle Database Migration Engineer / DBA – Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB)CTG is seeking to fill an Oracle Database Migration Engineer / DBA – Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB) position for our client. Location: Dallas, TX or Middletown, NJ Duration: 12 months. Responsible for planning, executing, and supporting the migration of enterprise Oracle databases from on-premises environments to Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB). The role will assess existing databases, identify migration dependencies and incompatibilities, perform schema/data migration, optimize workloads on ADB, and support post-migration stabilization. The DBA will work closely with application, infrastructure, cloud, and migration teams to ensure a secure, performant, and low-risk migration.Primary Skills Needed:10+ years Oracle DBA experience with strong Oracle Database administrationHands-on experience with Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB / ADW / ATP)Experience with Oracle database migration from on-premises to OCI/ADBStrong knowledge of Oracle architecture, RAC, Data GuardNice to have skills:Experience with migration tools: Oracle Data Pump RMAN Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM) GoldenGate / replicationDatabase assessment and compatibility analysis for ADB migrationExperience identifying and resolving: Unsupported Oracle features SQL/application compatibility issues Database configuration dependencies Performance bottlenecksStrong SQL and PL/SQL knowledgeExperience with database performance tuning and SQL optimizationKnowledge of OCI networking, security, IAM, and database connectivityExperience with backup, recovery, HA/DR and security in Oracle environmentsAbility to troubleshoot migration and post-migration issuesSecondary Skills – Good to Have:OCI certification or hands-on OCI experienceExperience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) servicesExcellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.CTG does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee based recruitment services for this role.
