Project Executive - Construction-1

Job Description

Project ExecutiveDynaTen is seeking a Project Executive to join our Construction team. This is an essential position responsible for planning, executing and ultimately overseeing projects, so our delivery meets our high-quality standards and our clients' expectations. The role of the Project Executive is to lead a team of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers to plan, execute, and finalize construction of multiple projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead and develop teams of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project EngineersOversee multiple commercial mechanical and/or plumbing construction projects to ensure execution aligns with design specifications, budget and scheduleReview and approve project plans and specifications, approve and occasionally build project schedules, make recommendations of potential cost-saving measures and identify potential construction problemsComplete job cost breakdowns, schedule of values, and review and approve project billingsCollaborate with general contractors, vendors and subcontractors to coordinate project schedules, RFIs and change ordersCoordinate with field superintendents on manpower needs, adjusting as neededConduct and attend pre-construction and post construction meetingsManage multiple projects varying in scope simultaneouslyMaintains regular communication with office teams, general contractors, owner and other stakeholders as neededOversee and continuously monitor site safety for all involved at all project jobsitesPerform other related duties or special projects, as assignedClosely coordinate with DynaTen Preconstruction team for any new project pursuits and become involved in final estimate review and generation of bid proposalInstrumental in the buy-out of the respective projectsAssist the Sr. Project Manager or Project Manager in the project setup, as needed.Review large purchases for approvalLead contract negotiations with General Contractors, Owners, and SubcontractorsReview and present individual monthly cost to date and projection reports for management's reviewFull P&L responsibility across multiple projectsParticipate in pursuit strategy and interviewsIdentify potential cost reduction opportunitiesAnalyze financial performance and drive margin improvement.Capability to step in and resolve:Escalated project issuesSchedule conflictsPerformance deficienciesFocus on safety and model best safety practices for our team membersRepresent DynaTen as a primary client contact, maintaining strong, professional relationships and upholding the company's brandLead the team by providing annual employee performance feedback within company guidelines and proceduresEnsure coherence of the project management team.Enforce accountability without micromanagement.Employee retention and team developmentDevelop and mentor staffCoordinate the project management's training and PTO requestsEnsure the project management team adheres to DynaTen's financial requirementsEnsure the project management team adheres to DynaTen's project documentation requirements.Strategic thinking and operational leadershipHigh-level problem solving and decision-makingRequired Qualifications15+ years' experience on commercial mechanical or plumbing construction projects including healthcare, medical gas, educational, institutional, military and others5-10+ years in leadership roles (Senior PM, Operations Manager, or Executive level)Degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering or 15 years equivalent relevant work experience.Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, each with a minimum value of $35 million10 years minimum experience successfully leading direct reports10 years experience with project cost to complete, project financials and project close outs10 years experience with contract review, project set up from Preconstruction to Operations, and generation of accurate subcontractsOSHA 10 Hour requiredOSHA 30 Hour requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsRequired aptitude on constructionHave a positive attitude, be professional and self-motivatedAbility to work as both an individual contributor and a team playerPresentation and communication skills.Experience with self-performed mechanical scopes (HVAC, piping, plumbing)Proven leadership in a team environmentPass a background, drug screening, and MVR checkProficiency with COINS or similar cost tracking software, Procore, Autodesk Liquid Cloud, Bluebeam, Primavera, and Microsoft Office Suite10 years experience in supplier and subcontract negotiationsStrong evidence of excellent leadership and influence skills to deliver results.10 years experience managing commissioning and system startup processes10 years expertise in GMP, Lump Sum, and Cost-Plus contractsStrong organization leadership skills across operations and field executionAdaptability in fast-paced construction environmentsSkilled
