Job Description

Linux & Windows Systems AdministratorZachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Linux & Windows Systems Administrator to support the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) network and secure enclaves for NIWC PAC in San Diego, California. This role involves securing and maintaining both Windows and Linux systems, supporting infrastructure design, and ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards. Key Responsibilities:Administer and maintain Windows, Linux, and VMware systemsPerform system hardening in accordance with DISA STIGs, CTOs, and other DoD guidanceConduct and interpret ACAS scans to identify and remediate vulnerabilitiesConfigure and maintain Host-Based Security System (HBSS)Provide technical input for infrastructure design and engineering reviewsSupport secure enclaves and ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirementsCollaborate with team members and work independently as neededRequired Qualifications:Active Secret clearanceMinimum 3+ years of experience with Windows systems administrationIAT Level II certification (one of the following): Security+ CE, GSEC, SCNP, SSCPExperience with: Linux system administration, VMware environments, applying DISA STIGs and security patches, writing SOPs and security policies relevant to ESS/HBSSPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL certificationExperience with the IAVM processFamiliarity with HBSS configuration and managementCompensation:Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 (based on experience and education)Benefits: Comprehensive package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), 20 days paid time off, 11 federal holidays, and sick leave
