Job Description

We are looking for... experienced and passionate Bartenders for our Silver Lyan bar in Riggs Washington DC. Our preferred candidate would have luxury or independent hospitality experience in the Washington DC market. Our ideal candidate thrives in a non-stop environment, has an open mind and a great sense of humor, and loves finding solutions, working with a team and proactively creating positive outcomes. The ability to be adaptable, calm under pressure, resourceful and efficient is in your DNA.

Core Essential Functions

• Deliver warm, engaging, and personalized hospitality to every guest.
• Prepare cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages to Silver Lyan's exacting standards.
• Build meaningful connections with guests through conversation, storytelling, and expert recommendations.
• Guide guests through our beverage program and menu with confidence and enthusiasm.
• Maintain a deep understanding of Silver Lyan's cocktails, ingredients, techniques, and philosophy.
• Collaborate closely with the Bar, Kitchen, and Hotel teams to create seamless guest experiences.
• Contribute to a culture of creativity, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
• Support sustainable working practices and responsible service standards.
• Ensure the bar remains organized, clean, and operationally excellent throughout service.

Responsibilities

• Fun and welcoming personality is a MUST.
• Minimum 2 years of bartending experience.
• Knowledge of wines, beers, cocktails and spirits.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in new situations.
• Positive attitude and a desire to be hospitable.

Pay Rate

Pay Rate: $12.50, tipped role
